Michelle E. Klouda

A graduate of the University of Oregon, Michelle’s career at RIM began in 2007 as a summer intern, followed by full-time employment in July 2008. “I joined RIM because the company had a great influence on Anchorage, and it was exciting for me to be part of that effort. From the beginning, I’ve always felt a sense of ownership at RIM and wanted to be an ambassador for the firm. For that reason, I’ve actively participated in several organizations (Downtown Community Council, Society of American Military Engineers, Anchorage Post, Anchorage Downtown Partnership, etc.) to represent the firm.”

“My first major project as a Registered Architect entailed working to transition the Sears store into retail mall space. An early project I worked on (2010-2014) was Covenant House Alaska, and right now I’m working on the expansion of that exact same project, which is quite amazing.”

Interests: Michelle’s interests include cooking, the architecture of Anchorage, and spending time with her new daughter Cecilia. She maintains a website where she writes about these things: www.fooditect.com  She is also an avid cycler who owns a road bike, a fat tire bike, and a spin bike for those days when she can’t get outside.
