Gloria B. Nelson Public Service Building

Guam Power Authority (GPA) found that as a result of scattered offices for their GPA and Guam Waterworks Authority (GWA) employees on the island, major operational inefficiencies were occurring. As a solution, RIM conducted over 60 interviews with GPA/GWA management and staff, and visited their existing facilities to determine what the employees needed as they planned and designed the new campus facility. The result produced a new 116,000 SF, 3-story facility for Management, Accounting, Human Resources, Procurement, Engineering, Customer Service, and IT employees including offices, conference space, training centers, a client customer service center, and a central control system to monitor power islandwide. With its energy-efficient features, this building has become the standard for sustainability on Guam and is certified as LEED Silver.
